Call for Applications for DAFI Scholarship in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine
Would you like to obtain a University degree or diploma in the country of asylum?
Do you meet the following criteria?
Please note that asylum-seekers are not eligible
You have an excellent academic record (for enrolees in Ukraine - please provide a copy of the independent external test results, in Belarus – results of the centralized testing)
You have already chosen programme of studies and applied to the University in the country of asylum (please provide a copy of the application)
If you meet ALL above criteria, you are invited to apply for one of ten DAFI scholarships (2 scholarships for Belarus, 2 for Moldova and 6 for Ukraine)
DAFI scholarship project is funded by the German Government and administered by UNHCR, with the goal of helping refugee students to access higher education. The scholarship covers cost of tuition and fees, including living allowance throughout the studies.
Application forms in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Romanian languages are available in UNHCR offices in Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, including on the following website: www.unhcr.org.ua. They are also available in the following UNHCR Implementing Partners’ offices, free of charge:
1) Applications with all required supporting documents and a detailed CV with contact numbers must be either handed in or mailed by 02/08/2010 to the above listed UNHCR Implementing Partners or to UNHCR Offices in a sealed envelope, indicating applicant’s name and “Application for DAFI scholarship” on the envelope.
2) All candidates who have access to computers can apply by the same deadline via e-mail to the respective UNHCR Offices in the country of asylum at the following e-mail addresses:

Moldova, UNHCR CR Chisinau at: MDACH@unhcr.org
Ukraine, UNHCR RR Kyiv at: UKRKI@unhcr.org
with attached detailed CV and all required supporting documents scanned, indicating applicant’s name and “Application for DAFI scholarship” in the subject matter.
Only short listed candidates will be contacted and invited for further interviews, during the week of 02-06/08/2010.
