Conceptual problems of distance learning systems development and technologies of their realization
The Kherson State University
Statement of conceptual problems of development of the distance learning systems (DLS) software is given and results of works on creation of DLS site of the Kherson State University are submitted in the report. Questions of a choice of standards and supports DLS, protocols and a format of a data storage, a platform and technology of programming of a server, development of its structure, a format of storage of documents, administration and safety of system, interaction with the client and processing of his queries are considered. The analysis of dotNet (.Net) technology, intended for the decision of the modern tasks connected to development the Internet - compatible applications is given. The basic advantage of dotNet technology will consist available libraries of objects dotNet Framework, which enables to apply powerful methods of object-oriented designing.
The interface of system and work with databases are realized in classes. Advantage of their application will consist in branch of tasks of documents storage from the common its interface. Common administration of a server, i.e. management of all system as a whole, tracking its safety, check of integrity of the data on a server, the account of new clients, the account of work of teachers, the account of progress of students, etc. is stipulated. Feature of development of the module of administration is division of the dynamic and static data of a site. As against the static data which are stored in XML-documents, the dynamic data are stored in database MS SQL Server and can be adjusted by the manager of a site. The module of the removed administration of remote curriculums by teachers, with an opportunity to add, delete and change materials of documents that is important for operative management of educational process is realized. The editor of remote rates allows to use in them all possible multimedia objects: the hypertext, graphic objects, video-audio and the animation clips, the formatted text, including special symbols for input of mathematical and chemical formulas. The editor of remote rates is realized in the interface of user Microsoft Word that provides to teachers a habitual working environment and does not demand additional training.
